    DVS X Cadence

    Posted in: Product

There’s a whole lot of hype at the moment surrounding the DVS x Cinelli colab shoes and perhaps rightly so, but for me the better looking and overlooked shoe is the DVS x Cadence Shoes. Looking forward to hearing more about these. Love the muted colourways.

The Ride Journal V went on sale today, we enjoyed the launch party at Look Mum No Hands, where the Journals were offered with an awesome patch. I’m working my way through this looking for inspiration for our contribution to Fixed & One.

The guys at Chrome sent me over a set of their Dresden shoes to try out and air my thoughts on. So here’s the before, before the after! I will put these things through their paces and present a decent review in the coming weeks. First impressions are vital and mine are only good. Chrome have to be commended for taking on some of the more established footwear names. The detail and quality packed into what is a very simple looking shoe is amazing. I love the metal finishings, the 3M strip and the long forefoot area that wont get mixed up with foot retention. I can vouch for the fact that these are akin to Converse in their sizing so go a size down. More to come, and thanks Chrome.

This weekend saw the Red Bull Hill Chasers event in Bristol. It was a dual format with the concept being to see which discipline was best for this uphill blast. 32 riders partook and the eventual outcome was that Road Racer Chris Metcalfe took the Golden frame. Inspiring to see the reception for yet another well executed unique UK bike event by Red Bull.

I’m sure there will be an official release soon until then here is a spectator vid of the final, those narrow gates look brutal!

    Coast…

    Posted in: Art, Product

Coast is a word we associate with the feeling of gliding in boards or bikes and grahic designers Candy Black have encapsulated that exact sensation in their latest project; We recently had the opportunity to set up and brand a business venture into selling retro style skateboards and fixed wheel bikes. We decided to name the venture ‘Coast’ as this is where the company is based and it refers to ‘coasting’ on your bike or board. The inspiration for the art direction was based on the ‘English’ coastline and the historic values attached to it.

Can’t wait until this launches, great visuals!

I was with the guys from fixed and what when they picked these pair of beauts up from 14 Bike Co, they looked stoked and rightly so. There’s nothing like the feeling of getting a new bike! Love the cheeky 5th sticker too… Show us the custom straps Andy!
