Having met Russ of Shand Cycles in person at Bespoked Bristol, I was drawn in by the prospect of some tunnocks teacakes as well as the chance to chat to one of the only companies pushing Scottish based frame-building. Check out the post I did profiling their recent 2 production models which are still very much produced in house and still retain a high level of customer input. During my Scottish epic Russ and Steven very kindly extended an invite to visit them at the workshop. Myself and Angus were both super impressed by the precision environment the guys were working in and it was great to be talked through the process and get a real feel of the birth of a Shand. I’m super excited to see the forthcoming production road model and will break that here as soon as it arrives. Angus really captured the day, check out the remainder of the images over at his place.
