This morning I got up sharp and headed over the Manhattan bridge from Brooklyn to check out the NYC-VELO saturday  shop ride. I’d heard a lot of good reports about the store and seen a lot of Jerseys in the parks so I was keen to get along. I was again the only track bike but the small group made of primarily Waffle Racing team weren’t perturbed. By the time we got to the top of the Alpine Climb on river road we were down to 4, we powered through to Piermont and then back to the city once again in high 90′s heat. The hardest part of the ride for me was the return into the city which is brutally start stoppy with traffic and lights and also destroys the strava average speed.
