Good saturday of racing allover for the 5th. Josh, Kendal, Ed and Erik where out racing under the steel skies of London. While I scuttled in midfield Josh took 2nd in the 4s. Kendal stayed out with a compatriot for most of the 4/3/2′s but got taken back towards the end. These photos where taken by Viv at the redbridge spring warmups. On Sunday Josh, Kendal, Ed and Rudy went on to race the San Fairy Ann Sprint Crits down in kent, more on that soon. In other news Dave put in some hard work stateside and took 1st in his cat 5/4 field in Jersey on saturday and third in the Cat5 field in central park CRCA race on Sunday.

UK’s only multi-discipline uphill race makes its debut in Scotland. BIKE ENTHUSIASTS TAKE ON THE ELITE AT RED BULL HILL CHASERS 2013.

“The UK’s only multi-discipline, uphill sprint race is coming to Scotland for the very first time to settle a long standing battle between bike disciplines. Who will have the stamina and speed to conquer their cycling hero and prove that their bike is the fastest on Edinburgh’s most iconic hill? Red Bull Hill Chasers is a night time uphill eliminator race for all bike disciplines, BMX, Mountain Bike, Road Cycling and Fixed Gear. Taking place on the iconic Grassmarket up Victoria Street, qualifiers are open to 500 cyclists. The fastest 30 riders from this heat will be selected for the main event where they will go up against 10 of the UK’s most elite cycling legends in a bid to be crowned Red Bull Hill Chasers 2013 ‘King of the Hill’”

I am really gutted I cannot make it, as it is the same date as Red Hook Crit in NYC. Don’t miss out if you are in the UK! Head over to Red Bull to register and find out more about the event. (My money is on James Wright).

We (Rudy, Kendal, Josh and Biggs) had a great day at the London Bike Show today. IG Nocturne Races were brilliant to watch as usual and the atmosphere was electric. Here are 2 photos that Kendal took from the Men’s Elite race. Photo number 1 is the winner, Ian Bibby of the new team Madison Genesis. Ian Bibby broke away early in the race lapping the main pack and staying at the front comfortably, great win for Madison Genesis as this was their first race. Photo number 2, is Pete Hawkins of IG Sigma Sport who came second. Pete was in the lead before he crashed, but he got back on the bike and even with blood coming down his legs he managed to catch the main pack and get second place comfortably. Paul Oldham of Hope Factory Racing came in 3rd place. Thanks again to IG Nocturne for a great event. We cannot wait for the next one in the summer and then again next year at the London Bike Show.
