Not quite DFL but the La Maglia Nera is a celebration of the last to cross the line in the Giro. Check out the full design influence and details of what went into Rapha and Paul Smith’s latest collaboration here. Just don’t have a mouthful of coffee when you read the price.
“Le coq sportif, partner and official supplier of the Tour de France, presents the 2013 Maill ot Jaune. This unique jersey is specially designed for the 100th year of the Tour. The 2013 Maillot Jaune – a symbol of the world’s greatest bike race – brings innovation to the fore. The ever symbolic yellow of the jersey, even brighter this year, features a translucent « Moor’s Head » imprint on the body of the jersey. This is a first, in recognition of the island – Corsica – which is to host the Grand Départ of the 100th Tour de France on 29th June. Another special feature of the 2013 race is the grand finish, which is to take place, for the first time, at night, inspiring le coq sportif to incorporate an array of reflective detail in the golden tunic. The Maillot Jaune and the winner of the 2013 Tour de France will be like a spark in the night.” – Le Coq Sportif
HSuper! or Johnny as I like to call him as freshened up his site for Summer and released a pre-order on his awesome summer kit. I can feel the sunshine already…
Rudy first blogged about the work of Kirschner way back in May, and since then he has returned to his motherland of Brasil and had an opportunity to ride with them. I thought this might be a good time to remind you of one of the sickest Jersey designs and awesome photo-doc’s out there right now. They do ship to US / Europe so get in touch if you want one.
As you know I’m a big fan of Shand Cycles. As soon as I saw this mock up appear on their blog I reached out to Russ to get the latest, here’s the news in his words…
(we’ve) been focusing on our bikes and getting processes sorted out – the important stuff! Hence, It’s taken a bit of time to develop an ‘aesthetic’ around what we make and how we promote ourselves. However, it’s been good to take time to find something we’re comfortable with and would be happy to see people wearing a couple of years from now.As you know, Endura are just around the corner from us and as we know a couple of the guys there, it made sense for them to produce the jerseys. We also rate the quality of what they make and even better, they still produce some of their range (including ours) at their factory here in Livingston. Tops will include short and long sleeve jerseys as well as a matching gilet for chilly mornings!Rothera are not so close (being based in Philadelphia), but having seen their caps they’re just what a cycling cap should be – functional and long lasting. Oh, and rather stylish! These should be available for Bespoked Bristol in March!
I like it! Via British Cycling.
The wait is almost over. I know loads of us are waiting to see what the Team Sky | Rapha kit will look like. Here is a little teaser from Rapha.
