Musette Bakery were one of the principle supporters of our recent BKLA13 trip and kept us fuelled up. I’m a massive fan of their ethos and product and you can read my full interview here. I was also stoked to chow down on the special edition ‘Davey’ cookie that made its way into each registered riders Red Hook Crit goody bag. Fantastic people and fantastic company, give them and your legs some support and get yourself some. Check out their recently redesigned page here.

Loving this look of this resource. On our trips there has been too many occasions where we’ve tried to sneak our bike in walking confidently through a hotel lobby making no eye contact as if we we’ve just returned with a Harem. No more!

UK only at the moment but ideal for rides like JOGLE. Check out Beds For Cyclists

It’s still dark outside. It might be wet or windy. It is definitely cold. Your bed is warm. For any normal person, there is no decision to be made, just a flicker of consciousness before turning over, pulling up the covers and sinking back into luxurious slumber.

But you are no normal person. You are a cyclist.

Check out Tales of The Winter Ride by Matt Seaton here. His writing is incredible and I count his book, The Escape Artist amongst my top reads. Nice to see him putting in the results in the Spring Series too!

    Huck Indies.

    Posted in: Media

2 of my favourite UK artisans Brothers Cycles and Trakke both feature in Huck’s recent indie series. My readership of Huck wavered a little when there was a lot of quite preachy environmental focused articles, but it’s nice to see them tapping into what made my pick it up of the news stand in the first place.

Wow, this is a big project!

“H&M is pleased to announce a men’s capsule collection with Brick Lane Bikes of East London, combining the function of cycling wear with great city style for both on and off the bike. The 11 piece collection has been designed by H&M and tested and approved by Brick Lane Bikes, one of the world’s leading custom-bike specialists. Inspired by both vintage pieces and today’s sports performance, the collection is made from more sustainable materials as part of H&M’s Conscious work. The collection will be launched on 7th March 2013 in approximately 180 stores worldwide, as well as online.”

    Strava Geekery

    Posted in: Media

Thanks to Chris and Don i’ve been indulging in some stat geekery courtesy of Velo Viewer and Strava Multiple Ride Map.  The Multiple Ride Map lets you see how your Strave recorded rides map out on a totally interactive map. Some screenshots of mine below. Velo Viewer shows every segment you’ve ever ridden and lets you play around with the data.

We’ve been grateful to be involved closely with both Vulpine and the Levi’s commuter range as they have emerged over the last year.
For me they fulfill different slots in the market. We love Levi’s price point and their adaptation of wardrobe classics to make them more bike friendly as well as their approach to the market from such a big company; yet on the other hand we love Vulpine’s ability to embed technical ability and features so stylishly and emphatically British we also love the personality and passion behind the brand. The guardian decided to debate these merits, check it out here.
