A Bidon that celebrates having to put your training rides in the big city parks.
“If you live in metropolitan city, the ride out of it sometimes takes longer than you are willing to spend between cars and traffic lights. So for many of us the large parks of these big cities become our training ground. Our own shortloop suburban hamster wheels gives us a second home while training. Thus the concept of the #parkwarrior was born. For the people who get up at 5am to get a few hours of reasonably uninterrupted training in going lap after lap around the parks. The riders who take a detour home from work to smash it against friends and strangers in this vacum the city created. If you are lucky to live in a place where the green stuff is just 20 minutes from your door I envy you beyond words. For the rest of us that only has a precious hour or two to spare between work and everything else we sooner or later find ourselves as park warriors. Having spent years now in both London and New York I decided to honor these parks we are forced to love, sometimes loathe but no less ride until the city becomes our own unsanctioned Kermesse.” - Erik Jonsson.
