Team mate, photographer and art director Erik Jonsson came to watch and support us race on Sunday and took some killer photos. Rudy was racing on a Condor Super Acciaio, which he has been riding for a while (photos and review soon) and Leo was racing on a Aprire Vincenza, his first time on the bike and he seemed to have liked it. We had some bad news that the huge character, beard and man behind all the 5th Store orders broke his pelvis and other things in a climbing accident in his native Italy. We’re wishing him all the best and a super speedy recovery.
With that in mind please be patient with any recent orders and let us know if you need anything expedited and we’ll do our best.
We have heard from the manufacturers and the kit order should be dropping at the end of the month and we will post out all pre-orders. Thanks for your patience on that one.
This weekend represented another successful weekend for #5thnyc in our first month racing across Cyclocross, Road and Track.
I stoked to report that Chris got 2nd place in the Cat 4/5 field of Charm City Cross. While myself and James refused to let the road season go with a showing at the Kissena Fall Classic where James bagged us a 3rd and we reminded ourselves how much we love the chess game of a road race.
Hopefully some photos will emerge from both events. Next weekend Gloucester CX!
I recently moved back home to Plymouth until the Cent Cols Challenge in September. I managed to squeeze myself onto the Okehampton CC Brentor 3/4 Road Race on Sunday. I had only ever raced crits in London before so didnt really know what to expect from a road race on Dartmoor. Last time I tried racing in the south west everything went terribly wrong.
